R61 unkown device on ICH8M LPC interface controller 2

#1 Post by bvaught » Thu Feb 07, 2008 1:18 pm

I have just completed an xp sp2 pro os reinstall on my R61 Thinkpad in order to create a good bloat ware free Disk image. I have found all other device drivers except for one. This unknown devices location is on the Intel ICH8M LPC Interface Controller-2 (Low Pin Count Interface) . I would have assumed that this should have been installed with the chipset drivers. I am having a very hard time finding any detailed information for this device in regards as to how it is installed on my R61. I have been both to both the Lenovo and Intel websites to search for this information. The laptop seems to be fully operational, but just knowing I have an unknown device in the device manager is driving me crazy.

:?
I am going crazy and it looks like it is going to be a short trip!
