DVD Drive

Hi,
I have an old R51 and a few weeks ago the CD-DVD Drive is not working. When I switch on the computer the green led begins to blink and never stops,no CD or DVD is read...

Any idea?

There are plenty of diagnostic tests you can run:

Troubleshooting CD and DVD drive issues - ThinkPad.
