A21e (a2628-iaj) BIOS won't flash

Hi guys,

Im new here in the forum.

I'm trying to update the bios on my old laptop from the 1999 version using the nondiskette download (KUET36WW (1.13) version) but I keep getting this error message:



even though the laptop has no floppydrive.

What am I doing wrong?

i never tried that on an a series..
a non-diskette bios update..

do you not have a floppy drive for that a21e..?

and

is there a compelling reason to update the bios..?
FWIW, unless there IS a compelling reason, i would not do it..
