2656-EU2 ethernet card

#1 Post by r2d2 » Mon Mar 10, 2008 2:00 pm

Does anyone here know where the ethernet card is located in this model?

I opened it up and see a mini pci that looks like a WiFi card (bottom of the unit). The mini pci card has the antenna wires and the RJ-11. I checked IBM website and it says PN 12P3657 is a modem and a wireless combo. I did not notice anything that says that this is also the Ethernet card.

Any info or guidance on this matter?

Try hardware maintenance manual for your model...

Looks like the ethernet is on the motherboard on the R31....

(Rosh: I'm having problems with pulling this file up with Firefox here at work. It is accessable using an FTP program. If you have problems, drop me a PM or email and I can email it to you.)
