R40e 2684 HVG - wireless

just having another go at installing the atheros a/b/g wireless mini pci card i got off ebay a few weeks ago. in the link above there's no driver listed for my model of tp, r40e 2684. does this mean that my tp does not support this card?
on the underside of my tp it has all that 802.11 malarky and in the box there where was a little wireless booklet, so i'm guessing it is possible for me to install a wireless card into this thing.
any idea if my tp will take the card that i've got?

and if anyone has any advice on installing the card in general it would be a great help.

I installed the following card into a R40 Celeron a month or so ago, that was not listed as being supported and it works flawlessly without the 1802 fix.

Sorry to hear that.
Works perfectly in this r40, even the antenna led at the bottom of the screen works, and it wasn't listed as a supported model.
Search the forum for the 1802 problem, a lot of users have a good luck with it. The latest bios etc may help.
The card I have is the Athrosll, IBM also has another Athros card.
