Hello everyone
When battery is installed in the laptop, processor work at 10x167 = 1.66 GHz and SpeedStep work, because change to 6x167 = ~1.00 GHz, everything work fine. When baterry is removed from laptop, processor work at 10x100 = 1.0 GHz (why FSB is 100Mhz?) and never change up to 1.66 GHz!
RAM = first 512MB 667MHz, second 1024MB 667MHz.
Bios is updated and work as "default". I installed some patches for Core2Duo processors for Windows XP SP2 and check up many of configurations in Bios and Power menagmanet in Win (and create newone), but nothing help.
Somone know what is wrong?

Welcome to the forum!
This issue has been discussed thoroughly on the forum, basically Intel's standpoint is that without the battery installed you shouldn't run the CPU at the full speed, since you might drain more power than the adapter could supply and damage the unit.
There is no way of getting around this in Windows that I'm aware of. I've been able to get around it in Linux (Kubuntu 7.10) on quite a few machines, but have also been told that the newer BIOS version disable this possibility.
Hope this helps.
