How do I Trash/disable Vista/Thinkpad [USERS] Crap?

#1 Post by nhawlman » Fri Mar 21, 2008 5:15 am

There will never be any other [USERS] of my "Personal" Z61m Vista Business Laptop !

(1) - How do I trash the opening screen that asks for New USER information ?

(2) - How do I get rid of the "Public" folders ?

(3) - How do I make ALL folders Always open in [Name - Modified - Size - Type] format ?

I didn't expect this "Business" model to be loaded with Games and be sooo Photo and Music oriented !

Thanks to Bill for his MANY hours spent maintaining this site,
and to all who try to help me.

For starters there some discussion here:

It may be that you need to get into security in properties in that folder and take ownership of the folder.

see:

Not sure why one would want to even bother with this....it's all part of Vista's "charming features" that just drive us regular folks bonkers!
