Change ThinkPad Vista Business to XP

Has anyone bought the XP "Restoration" disk
to change a ThinkPad Vista Business to XP?

Was it a horrible hassle or a breeze?
Where did you get the CD ?
How much did it cost?

When is your birthday ?

From lenovo Windows XP downgrade costs $45 + shipping + state tax (if your state charges you).

You can buy it directly from lenovo if you've a qualified machine:

Downgrading from Windows Vista to Windows XP.

IMO, Windows XP is more stable and runs faster than Vista.

I don't download

My dial-up connection would take 2 weeks and 3 hours to download.
ThinkPad site says they have an XP CD available.
I was hoping someone had experience with the Cds.

I've never heard of thinkpad's site hosting Windows XP CD for download.

The Windows XP downgrade lenovo website lists comes in a form of recovery disks and not like any retail version of Windows.

Have a Microsoft Windows Vista Business or Microsoft Windows Ultimate system, but need to continue using Microsoft Windows XP for a while? For a limited time Lenovo is providing Windows XP Recovery CD media as a way to downgrade from Windows Vista. Lenovo customers that have Windows Vista Business or Windows Vista Ultimate "qualified systems" may purchase a Windows XP Recovery CD until January 31, 2009. Fees may vary. Please contact your local Support Center for additional details.
