Thinkpad R32 --- 1802 Problem is history ,healing BIOS found

#1 Post by ollik » Fri Apr 04, 2008 1:32 pm

Hi,

I have searched very long to solve the 1802 Problem with my R32.
Now i found a patched latest BIOS 2.16 that , I think will free the
R32 for every Mini-PCI Card.

My equipment:
Thinkpad R32 2659-N3G
Broadcom 802.11g / Truemobile Wireless 802.11b/g 1350 Mini PCI Card

Dowload file , make Boot-CD,update BIOS, start Notebook , new hardware found , create wireless connection , ready in 10 minutes.

The site I found in Google cache (in some days it might be offline)

http://209.85.135.104/search?q=cache:Mm ... d=30&gl=de

The BIOS file in a ZIP , unzip and burn ISO to CD

http://ender.in/bios.tools/r32iso.zip

HEUREKA - finaly solved 1802 Problem

I cannot promise that it works on every R32 , but I think so

Does this program allow the Fn+F5 keypress to turn the wifi on and off, and the LED to work?

Hi,

I have installed Vista Ultimate SP1 included.
No Fn + F5 function , no LED
Just the Vista inbuild Landriver works.
I have not tried IBM drivers until now.

The domain has changed. It is now: http://www.endeer.cz/bios.tools/

therefore: http://www.endeer.cz/bios.tools/r32iso.zip

(and presumably a bunch of others as well)
