I am just getting to know my new R61i and wonder if there is a source of a complete keyboard description. I have keys I do not understand.

I assume you mean Fn + Fxx key combinations, they are explained in papers that came with your Thinkpad (my R60 has it, don't know for R61i, but why not...) I'm not sure, but I think i saw it somwhere in ThinkVantage software too (i've deleted most of it, so i can't remember where, see through that help files..)
