Thinkpad R61 14.1" resolution (help)

Please guys check this:(as per the reseller quote)

Guys iam confused: how come 14.1" WXGA with (1024x768) , iam really confused. wide screens come witha minimum (1280x800) resolution. Iam thinking of buying this r61 and iam lost. i cant imagine how would the display, icons , everything look on this resolution!! is it possible that its (1024x768) WXGA!!
Please tell me is there any R61 with 14.1" WXGA (1024x768)????

I'm not one of the screen resolution experts here, but it looks like that is possbily a misprint.

Looks like WXGA can be 1280X768 but not 1024X768

Hi there,
the mistake is the "wxga" since it is "xga". And i'd never buy me notebook with this resolution. It's something like "welcome to the past" for me .
Right now if i have a look on the types, i see same type (R61) with same display size, but resolution 1280 x 800 :
IBM/LENOVO THINKPAD R61/ C2D T8100/ 14" WXGA/ 2GB/ 160GB 5.4k/ DVD±RW/ WF/ BT/ FPR/ VIS BU

the mistake is the "wxga" since it is "xga".

I'm thinking it is WXGA because it is a wide screen. Should read WXGA 1280X800 or 1280X768.

A lookup of that particular model #7732-1EG shows it is a wide screen laptop.
