R61e - What is that little gray thing, front of left side?

It's a little plastic stick-like button at the front of the left side. Press it in to accomplish...something. It doesn't appear on the pics in the manual, and it looks guaranteed to break off within the first week.

Thanks.

Are you talking about the ejection button for the PCMCIA Cards? Thats the only thing I see on the pictures at lenovo.com. It looks gray from the pictures but not positively sure.

It is the eject button for the card slot. Press it in as far as you can and it will click and stay in. It works like a retractable pen.

Thanks, guys. No doubt I should have been able to figure that out, but this forum is such a great resource that my first impulse is always to ask someone who knows.
