Bought another Z61m...don't know why, but I like...

#1 Post by underclocker » Wed May 28, 2008 7:34 am

I recently sold my Z61m to a forum member's relative, but I wound up missing it as an extra machine at home. So I picked up another one.

I know it's big and kind of heavy (6 lbs. 10 oz., black lid, Intel GPU), but I like it.

That's all.

Z-series was sort of underrated but in my opinion it was a good multimedia series.

Congratulation!
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Don't blame you... I still think of my z61m as good as the T61s that's out there. It wouldn't consider it an upgrade if i switched to anything out there right now 8)
Now: Z61M, C2D, T7200, 160GB HD, 1GB

Amidst a fair amount of Z series bashing, I acquired a Z61t through a trade. Nothing fancy graphics-wise (WXGA) but it's nice to work with, and runs substantially faster than the machine it replaced. I've had it about a month and a half, and it's a great machine so far.

I understand what people are saying about the T6x series being nice, but I couldn't pass up the trade I got, and I'm very happy with the Z series
Cell phones are my specialty. Got questions? Ask away.
