Can one run a 1920x1200 Monitor on a R52? How?

#1 Post by indessen » Sat Jun 07, 2008 4:39 pm

Hello,

I tried runnung a Fujitsu Siemens 24" Monitor with 1920x1200 resolution (L24W-2), but couldnt get it to work.

It would only run 1600x1200 and 2056x ?????. There are no drivers and I am not sure the plug n play was working.

I have previouly had no problems running a 22" monitor with 1680x1050.

Has anyone here been able to run any sort of monitor at standard 1920x1200? If so, how and what monitor?

Have you installed the latest video driver?

My wife's R52 (w/ ATI discrete graphics) connects without problems to a 24" Soyo via Dock II and DVI. Haven't tried without the dock and using VGA instead.

all drivers are up to date. Did the R52 come with a "separate" graphics card? I have the Intel integrated graphics thing (910GM), perhaps that cant handle the 1920x1200. also, I connect straight from vga port.
