R52 sometimes hangs on Standby resume! Need moved mouse/key

#1 Post by BachManiac » Wed Jul 16, 2008 2:09 am

Hi!

I have a R52 which I take as mediacenter PC.

But anywhere It doesn't depend on the software mediaportal or dvbviewer. The problem appears also on a "naked" R52 (windows XP sp3 (and also tested with sp2) installed only with drivers but no additional software)

Sometimes (not always) when I resume the R52 from the standby the Display keeps black and nothing happens. I must move the mouse or press a button then the screen (windows desktop) appears and the System runs (software will be startet ect.). If I don't press any key or move the mouse the system will keep still and do nothing!

I have Windows xp prof SP3 (not manipulated with nlite ect), but this was also with SP2.

This problem does not always appear, just randomly!

Does anyone know this problem? is there a solution?

I have all newest drivers from the lenovo site.

Thinkpad R52, 512MB Ram, 60GB HDD, Intel GMA 900.

Please help!!

Hi. I don't have any specific advice about this except that I can tell you that my R52 does the same thing sometimes coming out of standby. I haven't really minded it since a swipe of the touch pad always seems to cure it.

A related, I think, problem is that sometimes it comes out of standby and decides to immediately hibernate if I'm not right there watching for it.
