R52 to repair for 3 weeks!!!

#1 Post by sjthinkpader » Thu Jul 17, 2008 4:25 pm

I sent off my R52 to Memphis for repair in an EasyServ box on 6/28. It didn't show up before 7/4 so I waited. It didn't show up after the long weekend. Then I noticed DHL had no return delivery info. Email reply from DHL claimed that they've lost it.

More Esc+ messages to Lenovo with no reply then I called. They want more time to file a claim with DHL. Then DHL found it on 7/10. Went into repair on 7/11 and been waiting on parts since with no estimated parts arrival time.

Any clue on what's wrong with it? And what they're actually waiting for?

Go to Lenovo's forum, sign up and drop Mark_Lenovo a PM...he's above and beyond helpful with such issues.

Best of luck.

They should have plenty of those in stock, it is a fairly recent model, and not a rarity of any kind...

Good luck.
