Another R61 issue: The screen!

#1 Post by Roevhat » Sun Aug 10, 2008 4:56 pm

I recently bought this fine R61 14.1" (7732-4SG), which I am going to use for study.
But a few issues have come to my attention, which is annoying, when I was hoping for more quality, since that was my picture of ThinkPads.
I posted my first problem in another post which was around the "palmrest clicky-flexy-thingy"-problem.
But now, after a weeks use, I have noticed that the screen, or LCD-panel, isnt placed with that much perfection.
It looks like the screen is bending, because the lcd-panel doesnt fit with henges, therefore cramped. I have a few pictures, one open and one closed from behind.

(If you look close enough, you might see the difference. On the left side, the screen sits close and nicely on the henge, but on the right side, it sits just a bit taller.)

(here, from behind, you can see it by looking in the middle around where the screen and base connects. It looks a bit like it is bended if you ask me)

So now I wanna know is:
Is this on all R61 laptops? Or is my a stand-alone issue?

Sorry about the pictures - I was just hungering for an answer, since I don't wanna end up with a broken laptop when school starts.
And thanks for the response, maybe I was just overreacting - but in my eyes it just looked a bit weird.
