Audio Problem...

I don't know anything about Audio Chip's...
I need some help with my audio system or drivers or something like that... I don't get noise of it!

A20m Windows 2000 Professional SP4
Cirrus Logic CS 4614 (Source Everest)
Celeron 500Mhz. 128+64 RAM speed

I had an A22e (somewhat different) with Windows 2000 SP4 on it and audio worked fine.

Go to the Lenovo website (Support -> Download drivers), put your full model type and number into the appropriate box and look for the most current available driver for Windows 2000. Download it, and try re-installing as a first step.

There could be a hardware problem, but try a driver reinstall first.

Why only running SLAX (live CD) the audio works fine? Do you know it?

Allmost every day it tryes new drivers files and it's allways the same thing, some times looks better in window with the help support tab. And some others new features shows, but not the Windows sounds plays or any others like music or Internet's, just the system's beep.!

PW3041.zip driver did not enables de windows audio features, it updates the interfase for a better one; that is cool...

Before that i tryed the aftpiw2k from lenovo ibm site wich only enables the system beep (also cool) and set the program's interfase into the Control Panel (Sound Fusion) but no windows or utopia sound there..

it's currently now a new instalation of W2k SP4 and PW3041.zip plus the others drivers.
