It's an IDE connector. Not a standard one of course, something IBM made for its Ultrabay devices.

This IDE connector can be found on some Sony laptop as well. Not as popular as the one used in the Ultrabay2000 bare drives but it is made for better insertion and much smaller than the one on Ultrabay2000 caddy.
