z60t water damaged

#1 Post by wakka2u » Tue Aug 19, 2008 10:40 pm

argghhhh... my spare laptop i use on the road was submerged in water (bottom half, lid/screen above water) for like 5 seconds when i dropped it in a puddle of water.. no longer powers on. Is this fixable with a new system board or just kiss it good-bye?

Do a forum search on 'water' for some good advice. The answer is 'it depends' . Here is one such thread -
