LED's on inverter card not working (A31 15")

i resolved an LCD problem of thin vertilcle lines across the entire display by reseating the LCD cable on the MB.

this cable also attaches to the inverter. the two LCD's on the inverter (battery/charging indicator and sleep/hibernate indicator) are no longer working.

i've checked and reseated the lcd cable plug into the invertor several times, and have been sure it's screwed in correctly with the metal contact point behind the screen.

cannot get the LED's to light.

the LCD is fine, bright and no issues.

i don't know if the inverter needs replacement, or if it's the ribbon LCD cable.

Much appreciate thoughts.

I had this happened to my A31 and it was a transistor on the MB after changing both the cable and inverter.

Do you have a battery installed? I had the inverter board LEDs out and couldn't figure out why--I had the battery removed.
