r61i problems with opengl

#1 Post by doerk » Thu Aug 21, 2008 1:11 pm

hi, this is my first post.

i got following problem: for wasting some time i decided to install quake3. but every time i want to start it comes to "GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem".
i googled an found out that im not the only one with this problem and quake is not the only program (it has s.th. to do with opengl, otherwise i wouldn't post here).
and the solutions for this problem are about 3-8 years old, and say that i should reinstall my
graphical drives. but i wouldn't help, (i used the newest drivers from the intel homepage).

i got the thinkpad R61i NG1E8GE wich has the intel graphics media accelerator X3100.
i use win xp with sp2

perhaps anybody knows this problem.
