Thinking of an "R" series.
Hi, Thinking of snagging one of these, but I'm not familiar with the R series. How does this stack up against a similar T series for weight and quality of build? Here's a place selling new R50s the model listed is SXGA.

Does this seem like a fair price?

Absolutely not. This is a discontinued model, and I'd be worried about the amount of original coverage left from Lenovo.
The machine sounds fine, but the deal itself doesn't. You can do a lot better in this forum's Marketplace.
Apart from being bulkier and having a cheaper finish, R series are pretty close to their T series siblings. I personally like them a lot.
Hope this helps.

Yeah, sorry, R60. Some fool put the 5 right next to the 6 on my Keyboard.
Thanks for the tip ajkula66. I left them an e-mail to confirm whether or not it is SXGA or XGA as they state. The model number on Lenovo suggests SXGA. I will probably keep shopping. In fact Lenovo's Outlet has a few T61s with SXGA for around the same price.
ED: Wouldn't a New R60 carry a New warranty?

If you were getting it directly from Lenovo, yes. The warranty brgins on the date that the machine is shipped. From a third-party re-seller, I'd make sure that it's still there by having them give me the serial of the actual machine...ED: Wouldn't a New R60 carry a New warranty?

I'm not as up to date on pricing on these things as some others, but I can say that I'm a big supporter of the R Series since the R5x through the current ones. I work on an R60 at work on a daily basis and have spent a lot of time recently on R61s and can say that they run well (when given an adequate amount of RAM), not overly heavy and have a very nice fit and finish with a solid feel. They feel more solid than my wife's R52 as well as my T41.
They've sold a lot of these things so they'll be common. So, don't jump at the first good looking thing... shop, shop, shop and look in the marketplace. I even come across them on the local DFW Craig's List as well.
