Very quick A31 question.

#1 Post by MGT » Fri Sep 12, 2008 8:27 pm

Am I right in thinking that all A31s with 15" SXGA+ displays are Flexview?

According to the tawbook, there is a page of model numbers where the specs don't indicate a Flexview LCD. These are 2652-D3U, D4U, D5U and D6U. These LCDs only have 200:1 contrast, whereby those that are explicitly listed as Flexview LCDs have 200:1 contrast.

You are not correct.

In the HMM, on the page 170 which lists all SXGA+ LCDs for these units, there is a clear distinction between SXGA+ and SXGA+ IPS...

And I believe my good friend KristianJ made a typo...TN panels have 200:1 contrast, while IPS ones are 400:1...

Tricky little things they are...got fooled myself once...

Hope this helps.
