a22p work with old XGA LCD?

#1 Post by robotnics » Mon Sep 22, 2008 8:13 am

Hi guys,

anyone have tried to put an a22p mb to work with an a20m LCD?

I've an old a20m, would like to upgrade the graphic card. as the ati M1 is soldered on the a20 mb, have to exchange the mainboard.

i'm going to order an a22p mainboard which is based on ati m3(rage 128) quite faster then ati m1 I supposed. If I could use this a22p UXGA mb work with my old XGA(a20m LCD). that would be great. otherwise I may have to order an UXGA LCD for this a22p mb.

any experience or suggestion on this matter, will the a20m case hold the a22p mb? Thanks in adavance.

FYI: a20m: PIII700(2628-41G, 14.1 1024x768, ati m1)
a22p: 1G (UXGA, ati m3)
a22m: 1024x768, XGA, ati m3.

UXGA A21p, A22p
T60p 2623-DDU/UXGA IPS/ATI V5200
T60 2623-DCU/SXGA+ IPS/ATI X1400
T43p 2668-H8U/UXGA IPS/ATI V3200
R50p 1832-NU1/UXGA IPS/ATI FireGL T2
X61t 7762-B6U dual touch IPS/64GB SSD
X32 2673-BU6/32GB SSD
755CDV 9545-GBK Transmissive Projection LCD

Thank you all for the helpful info, now I am clear that the only usable board is an a22m for my XGA LCD.

I'll try a a22m with ati m3 shortly.

for anyone who may have similar questions and being here, here is a shourtcut I have found:
