R32 battery discharges when shut down and unplugged

#1 Post by lutami » Sun Sep 28, 2008 1:02 am

This R32 i have here is usually left plugged in 24/7, never had any problems with it, always runs perfectly when in use.
Just recently it hasn't been used much so turned off and unplugged for days at a time. First few times it's been plugged in it boots but the battery shows dead but it recharges ok, just lately though if it's been unplugged for a while on boot i have to set the time and date each time.

Would appreciate any thoughts on a fix for this please. Thanks!

Replace the CMOS battery. Replace the main battery too.

Hi, thanks! it'll run on main battery for around one and a half hours, batteries about a year old so didn't think a replacement was neccessary.

Will replace the CMOS battery, thanks again!
