When I boot my Thinkpad R51 the first message I see tells me I can interrupt the boot process by hitting the AccessIBM key. According to the Lenovo support documentation I should see a message saying:
"To Start the Product Recovery program, press F11"
If I hit F11, the computer just boots to Windows. (If I hit AccessIBM it see a startup interrupt menu providing a whole lot of other options, none of which seem to get me to product recovery).
How can I get to Product Recovery?

If you have Rescue and Recovery installed, simply hit the "Access IBM" key and it will load up the recovery/pre-boot environment.
If you want to access the BIOS at boot, simply press F1. Otherwise, you have to access it through Rescue and Recovery, which takes some time to load.
If you do not have Rescue and Recovery installed, pressing "Access IBM" will bring up options to boot into the BIOS or select a temporary boot device.
