Optical Driver not found on R32

Hi All,

I have an old R32 which has a CD/DVD ROM drive. When I insert a disk in the drive, it spins and makes all the right noises, but stops after a few seconds and then nothing....

The D drive does not appear in windows explorer. I'm wondering if it's a hardware problem or a driver problem. I tried to download a new driver from the lenovo website, but the installation process started talking about floppy disks and didn't seem right....

When I run the PC Doctor test for the CD ROM, it says "CAN NOT RUN."

Any pointers??
