Z60m bottom half of screen flickers

#1 Post by rajm » Sun Nov 09, 2008 5:01 pm

I have a 2.5 year old Z60m and am having some problems with the screen. The bottom half of the screen starts to flicker and sometimes holds the image. If i hit the side or gently twist the screen it sometimes get better, but the problem keeps happening. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Thanks!

Yeah, this seems to be a somewhat common issue as they (15.4 Zs) get older.. I bought a Z60m with this issue, and replacing the LCD screen fixed the problem.

Some earlier threads with more detail:

The part number of the WSXGA+ (1680x1050) panel is LP154W02(TL)(06). I bought my replacement from eBay for ~US$200.

Thanks for the reply. Luckily I purchased a 5 year warranty when I bought it so I guess I will just have Lenovo take care of it.
