G40 max HDD size?

#1 Post by cliddell » Sun Nov 16, 2008 5:10 pm

Greetings all from a new member of this community

Apologies if this question has been asked already. I have a 2.4GHZ G40 (I love it!!) with BIOS version 1.04b. Does anybody know the max. HDD this will support? And will flashing the BIOS to the latest version increase this maximum? If so, to what?

Thanks in advance for your help. Looking forward to a long & fruitful relationship with this community!

Welcome to the forum!

Your G40 will take any size PATA/IDE laptop drive, currently the biggest one is WD 250GB.

Hope this helps.

Service Pack 2 for XP or if you're running 2K, service pack four is needed to see hard drive sizes over 137GB.
