Z61t stop reading SD slot

I put my Z61t on a shelf for about one year...decided to use it again. It has Vista Business installed and used to read SD cards but now it does not.

Any suggestions? I see there is a driver for XP but not Vista. I can read an SD card with my USB reader.

I did a little more research and found a fix...simply delete the SD reader in "Device Manager". Restart the Z61t and the SD slot will reinstall.

The problem came back...did some more research and was advised to remove AVG 7.x virus software and also found to remove any HP printer driver. I did both at the same time and the problem now seems solved. Remember my OS is Vista Business.

I now used AVG 8.0 and no HP printers.
