ibm system recover problem

#1 Post by broncus » Tue Dec 23, 2008 4:11 pm

hi everyone my problem is i have a ibm thinkpad r32 a good old faithful machine but i use to press f11 on boot up to restore back to the original settings but now this button does not work. i have gone to the run command and typed compmgmt.msc and it still shows the secret partition. does anyone know how i would be able to recover the computer to the original settings. i suspect it is a problem with the mbr but how do i get the f11 to work again. many thanks in advance any info appreciated.

The recovery discs would be one option if you have or can get them. Post over in the Marketplace forum. You maybe able to get a set on the cheap.

Try giving the Rescue and Recovery - Recovery repair diskette a go. It should hopefully reinstate the F11 function for you.
