I'd say you're on the right track. Never had I had a disappointment with Seagate drives.

That "trick" is called a new LCD with SXGA+ resolution...there is no other way to accomplish the task in question.

All the 7200RPM drives will perform similarly in the real world. The nice thing about buying a Seagate drive is you get a free download of DiscWizard from Seagate's website. It's a limited version of True Image, a very good imaging utility. I use it myself in place of Rescue and Recovery, which can be bloated.

So in other words Upgrading internal may no be a good idea after all in case of selling it, how about external will that be a good choice if I stay in windows a small hard drive will be easy to maintain defrag be quick.
I may do only the memory that someone say it was not that necessary i wonder why?
The hard drive maybe be a good idea to get a case for how does external do with this machine
So window has not third parties changing resolution applications.
What about reducing DPI normal say is 96 and hight 120 so small + may be 76?

You can always keep the 'old' hard disk for when you plan on selling it.
If your need is NOW for a larger/faster HD, get it now.
You can never have too much RAM, but know that you can use a maximum of 3.2GB only under XP, even if you put in 4GB.
If you don't use your DVD/CD, buy an internal SATA HD-adapter for your R60, and put the second HD in there. Then put that in instead of the optical drive.
Much faster than an external drive.
There's nothing you can do to 'improve' on the XGA (1024x768), other than buy an SXGA+ LCD, like ajkula66 mentioned.
