DVD rom Comes Up as a CD-Rom

Hell All I have a Thinkpad R52 1858-CTO. My DVD rom is a Drives HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8083N. I used to be able to read DVDs in it with NO problem, now all of a sudden I can only read CD's has anyone else had this problem? I used Belarc Advisor and it comes up with this.

The firmware is up to date at 0K04.

There are two LEDs in the pickup unit. Likely the DVD LED died.

But it should still show up as a DVD-ROM and just not read DVD's but it is showing up as a CD-ROM

Download Nero Info Tool and use it to see what disc format your drive support.

Does anyone know how to fix them so they will read DVD's again?

So this was recognized as a DVD-ROM. I think the LED for DVD is out.
