Z61t with glossy black lid?

#1 Post by dr_st » Sat Jan 17, 2009 4:55 pm

This Youtube review shows a Z61t with a black glossy lid, a-la SL series:

The reviewer claims it's a standard 9442-E7U model.

I was not aware that any Z61 models had such a thing. Neither the Tabook, nor the HMM, mention any option other than standard black matte plastic and silver titanium. Would that be a custom fit?

Not that I like the way it looks, but I'm just curious.

hmm if you observe the video carefully he has a custom fit over the lid..esp when he shows the lid of the computer you can see the near the IBM logo that there is something else on the lid..

observe carefully...

What Sportfreak said. I've stopped and started that video
over and over trying to read what the blue letters are on
the left hand side of the lid.

He keeps putting his hand over them, almost as if he's
trying to hide them without appearing to do so. They
seem to say PRODRIVE or something like
that.
