Power adapter slipping out

#1 Post by tmccartney66 » Sun Jan 18, 2009 3:50 pm

Hi:

I have an R61i that I purchased from Office Depot back in July or August. Lately I've noticed that the power adapter is slipping out of the jack on the computer for no good reason whenever I move the laptop even a little. It doesn't come all the way out, but it disengages just enough to cause the computer to switch to battery power. I'm not seeing any obvious wear on either the jack or the plug.

Is this a known issue?

Get it fixed before the warranty runs out. These jacks are designed to be pretty robust in normal use. But I have seen damaged jacks.
