The kensington adapter I have is too flaky. I need a new adapter. I checked the pin in the back is not bent or anything. Looks fine. Kensington just doesn't make a good fit. Wouldn't be the first time I had problems with them.
So I'll try a new adapter first before I try anything else. Using thinkpad r40e. Anyhow how safe is it to try one of these cheapee ebay adapters? Would I be better off with a genuine IBM instead?

Need New AC Adapter
Re: Need New AC Adapter
IMO I wouldn't trust a knock-off power adapter. If you are patient and a good searcher, you can do better. How about this one item 130281906993 that is free shipping but not a buy it now.
