A22p Distorted Display

#1 Post by fuzzypup » Sun Mar 15, 2009 8:40 pm

I bought an eBay A22p 2629-UTU equipped with a broken UXGA lcd. I replaced the broken lcd with a surplus XGA lcd of the same size using the correct inverter and cable. The screen operates but the display is distorted and appears as if the horizontal and vertical have been reversed. I can see the display but it appears like sides are squeezed and a part extends below the bottom of the screen. I attached an external monitor and the display is normal on the external monitor. Any suggestion on some setting I am missing or some other issue?

On A2x series, screen resolution is tied to the motherboard type. In other words, the planar of an A2xp does not support XGA resolution on an internal LCD.

Thanks for that information. Looks like a sale for the A22p base will be coming.
