optical drive difference

#1 Post by jobooth321 » Mon Mar 23, 2009 12:46 pm

I was getting ready to buy a DL DVD burner for my Z60t (2511F4U) and ran across two models on Lenovo's site

The 41N5643 and the 40Y8623

I was planning on getting the 41N5643.

Anyone know the difference?

Not that it answers your question, but do you really want to buy a media drive that's about half of your entire machine's street value?

I really love this laptop. I beefed up the RAM and HD. It's got no problems and is running strong. I love the form factor. It does all I need it to do except burn DL DVD's. I don't want a USB external drive. I really want an internal burner. This is it for options, so yeah I do want to spend the dough on it.

You may find an internal DL burner cheaper here in the marketplace or on ebay.
