BSOD every time I change dual display settings

#1 Post by scott11 » Sat Apr 11, 2009 6:46 pm

I have a R61 7734. I was using the VGA port to use an external LCD, and i used the windows display properties to extend the desk top. I just bought a mini docking station and would like to use presentation director program to control the scheme when docked. Every time I try to remove the second screen, try and use both screens the same, or only use the external, the system crashes. The bsod is not really on long enough to note the exact problem. Any ideas? I would prefer that when I dock, the external screen is the primary, and i would close the R61. I plan on getting a second external as well if this would work. Right now that only thing that works is either undocked, or if docked, the R61 is the primary and the desktop extends to the external screen

the driver did not help, but I found a windows update that did solve the problem. Thanks
