IBM r40 Freeze but actualy its working

#1 Post by Hot_Shot » Thu Apr 16, 2009 1:32 am

Well,
The Problem Started when i was playing poker in FAcebook

Then it suddenly FREEZED , letting me to power off and then on.

from that day. my IBM r40 started to freeze.

i thought swapping my RAM would help ( but nothing changed )

1gb ram + 256 Ram
What i have noticed when you lift slightly from the left, it works.

however, when the vista starts, it freezes on it own, but when you tilt it was running already.

it was noticed because winamp player was running and the screen was freezed :??:

Anytime that you tilt or flex an R4X or T4X machine and it creates or alleviates a symptom associatd with video, it's most likely that the GPU has come loose on the systemboard. Do a forum search on 'GPU reflow' for many, many, threads and advice on the topic.
