wireless software proram r52

#1 Post by retired » Sun Apr 19, 2009 7:28 pm

On my taskbar there are 2 icons for wireless software, one for windows zero config and one for ibm access control. Right now the windows software is controlling my wireless. Does the ibm do a better job, and if so how do I get the ibm software to take over ?

For a given connection, they both work equally well. For multiple connections (such as I use), Access Connections is a better tool for me than the Windows tool. Set up a profile in it and it will take over from Windows. In XP you can go to the Wireless Icon (Network properties) and then Properties of the Wireless NIC and uncheck the setting for Allow Windows to control this Network. In Vista, it is somewhat more integrated. ... JDH
