turning off touchpad when mouse is attached.

#1 Post by ekdya » Mon May 04, 2009 6:01 pm

I have R52 with Win XP, my hand touches the touchpad while typing and it results in very interesting behavior.
Does anybody know how to turn off Trackpoint and touchpad automatically when a mouse is attached.

thx

You can disable UltraNav in BIOS. I am not sure you can turn it back on without rebooting.

Using the BIOS simulator for the R52:

it looks like you go to Config, Keyboard/Mouse, then change both Trackpoint and Touchpad settings to "Automatic". Press the F10 key and save the new BIOS settings.
