1802 error on R60

#1 Post by solarx » Wed May 06, 2009 7:34 am

Hi,

I want to install a new draft-n mini pci wlan card in my R60.
But I get the 1802 error. I've tried the no-1802 patch but it wouldn't work on a R60.
Does anyone have a solution for this? I really want this new card to work!!

Thanx

Look in the T60 Forum at Zender's postings: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=55837

I've contacted Zender and he gave me a link to his modded BIOS for my R60 :D
My new "Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN" now works like a charm !!

Does your N-part work, or is that also disabled as in the Lenovo cards?

My router (AVM Fritbox 7270) shows my notebook now with a 130 mbit/s connection. So I guess N is working.
I was worried because the new card has connectors for 3 antennas but my R60 only has 2 antennas installed. And I didn't want to open the casing of the display to install a third antenna.
As far as I know you don't really need the third antenna.
