Safe to use GMA950 drivers from intel for Z61m?

Hey guys I have a ThinkPad Z61m with the Intel 945 integrated video. It's currently running the drivers from Windows Update last year that were provided as a prerequisite to Vista SP1. Is it safe to go to intel.com and download/install the latest 945 drivers directly from there? Thanks
