Is it normal - area below R60 touchpad streaks when pressed

The area immediately below the touchpad buttons on the palm rest of my R60 9462 A18 streaks when lightly pressed. Is any R60 user/owner experiencing the same symptom with their R60? Is this a common thing, or it is a problem that need fixing? Would welcome any thoughts on this. Thks
