I have an R61i that doesnt have built in webcam, any chance I can order the parts and add it myself now? If so, any clue where I would get the parts?

For parts like that, I usually find that IBM is the best and cheapest source. I expect the cost will be under $100. Please note that if you make this sort of modification, you might have difficulty getting warranty service on other parts. You need to replace the LCD cable, the LCD bezel and add the camera module. The actual procedure and parts needed depends on whether you have a 14.1" or 15,4" machine. (There are no parts for the 4:3 screens) If you don't have experience working on machines, taking apart the LCD assembly is not the best way to get experience.

If it doesn't work out, go for a Logitech Quickcam Fusion or Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 (the best).
