Anyone put a Hitachi 7200 rpm in an R32?

I did a search, but couldn't find anything for R32's. I'm going to get a 40gb, effectively doubling my HDD capacity.

That will work fine and give you a noticeable performance boost...

I just added more memory also. I went from 384 to 512 mbs. I'm excited. It'll be like a new Thinkpad.

i just purchcased a 7200 rpm drive for our r32 but haven't installed it yet. (i purchased 2, actually...put one in my t41 and that was, of course, fine).

i don't expect any problems with the drive in the r32 ;)

I'm backing up now. As soon as it goes in, I'll let you guys know how it went.

Wow...this thing is like a new machine. I think I'll be able to tolerate it a bit longer.

A new XP Pro install and shell replacement (Aston shell) later, and it's moving along great. I actually enjoy this thing now.

Since I put a new HDD in, does anyone know how to restore the volume and mute buttons on the R32?
