Did the A22p come with an IBM hidden partition of any type?

R30/R40, A30/A31, G40/G50 and Z60/Z61 Series. NOT for AMD-Ryzen.

How can I tell if my A22p has any special partition on it?

Thanks,
Guy

Also, if my Thinkpad does have this special partition, how can I create or copy this special partition to a new hard drive?

Thanks,
Guy

The A22 series does have the hidden recovery partition, you'll see when you boot the unit you get a message telling you to press F12 if you want to activate it. Press F12 if you want to make sure it's still there and operational, you can always bail out without doing anything.

The only way I've ever transferred these partions is with drive cloning software like Ghost or DriveCopy.

F11 is the key to perform a recovery

If you want to clone the drive make sure you use a sector-by-sector copy as imaging probably wont work
