R61 compatible docks

#1 Post by slname » Sun Sep 27, 2009 7:26 am

I have an R61, model 8918-B9G. Is there a website where I could find a list of compatible docks and port replicators for my laptop? Thanks.

Fred take it easy!
Hi friend that was a precise answer.
Question the 945GM/GMS/GME, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller support DVI?
Best to you.

Depends on the machine I think. All the T60s do. Later Z61s with the Core 2 Duo have the DVI pass through. I don't think the R60 does. I can't tell cause I have the ATI card, which does DVI. If you want to know I'd suggest looking in the tabook.

Comprehensive information about withdrawn T/R/Z/X models (2005-present).

The chipset itself supports DVI, but like Fred said - some Thinkpads had the wiring, some didn't.

All dedicated GPU models (ATI/nVidia) do.

Among the integrated GPU with 945GM chipsets (pre-Santa-Rosa), only T60 and C2D Z61ts do it for sure. About the R60, the Ltwbook does not give any information.

I forget to say that in the past I did own a macmini which is a very similar spec that the R60 and that one with 945 did have DVI that why I am suspecting that when is connected to a dock it may work.
